Three of these four rooms belong to the original house - the rooms that were here at the very beginning, and the ones that still hold the essence of what Balquisse became. Vintage furnishings and artisanal detail give each its own character, with the garden or the pool just beyond the door.
They are intimate by nature. Everything went into what is inside them: the tiles, the timber, the pieces collected with time. They are rooms for slow mornings, for afternoons spent wandering the grounds, and for the pleasure of coming back to somewhere that already feels like yours.

Each Heritage Room is a different expression of the same hand. Zohra Boukhari composed them one at a time - a carved headboard found in Java, hand-glazed tiles, a crystal chandelier above a freestanding tub, an antique desk with a history of its own. Ten rooms, and each one its own.
All are spacious, all are warm, and all open onto a terrace of their own, framed by the gardens, the pool or the shade of the banyan tree. Everyone has a bath to sink into at the end of the day. Settle in, let the hours run long, and enjoy a room that becomes as much a part of your stay as the island beyond it.

Space is what makes a Heritage Suite. These are the most generous rooms at Balquisse, and the difference is felt the moment you walk in - room to spread out, to work at a desk, to take the afternoon indoors.
Set around the Shaba courtyard and its fountain, each has its own proportions and its own atmosphere. The collected character that runs through the house is here too: handmade tiles, silk, antiques gathered across the archipelago. A place to linger over a book, to retreat from the day, and to let the hours arrange themselves.

Baldaquin unfolds over two floors beside the pool, and it was made for a family. A king bed below, two twin beds above. A cot can be added, bringing the bungalow to five.
Two bathrooms, a double shower and a bathtub mean that mornings happen without queueing. Your own terrace looks out over the water - close enough to read while they swim.

Srikaya sits beside the Shaba courtyard, looking onto its fountain. A lounge of its own and a walk-in dressing room give the suite a gentler rhythm - mornings that start slowly, evenings that begin with dressing for dinner. The bathroom offers the quiet luxury of a long bath.
Generous and intimate at once, it is a suite in which the smallest rituals become part of the occasion.

Room details, Vintage Teak House
Two Javanese gladak houses, raised on stilts above the mangrove. They are a homage to Indonesia: the traditional timber frame of the archipelago’s own architecture, brought here whole and given a second life.
Aged teak, handcrafted joinery, a canopy daybed, chandeliers, and a bathroom with a soaking tub and rain shower. The veranda opens onto the green, and the green closes in behind you. Ninety square metres each, secluded in feeling and rich in texture - a way of staying at Balquisse that exists nowhere else on the property.

Our Rooms
We warmly welcome families and larger groups. Some of our rooms can be arranged to include extra beds, which are provided at no additional charge for children, along with complimentary baby cots. If you are a family with multiple children and wish to stay together in one room, we kindly ask that you contact us directly, as select rooms can comfortably accommodate such arrangements.

Jimbaran Beach offers a peaceful stretch of sand where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll, witness local fishermen at work, and savor fresh seafood by the water. The area is also ideally located near some of Bali’s most renowned beaches, including the crystal-clear waters of Padang Padang Beach, the dramatic cliffs of Uluwatu Beach, and the picturesque white sands of Balangan Beach. For cultural exploration, the iconic Uluwatu Temple is nearby, offering breathtaking cliffside views and traditional Kecak dance performances at sunset.
